The Elephant Bar is amazing…

I’m not normally a fan eateries with more than one location, but my husband and I ventured over to the Elephant Bar at Franklin Park mall last night on one of our rare “date nights” — it was one of the most amazing food experiences we have had in some time. From the appetizers, where we got the “Global Sampler” to the salads, to the main dishes to the desserts we selected, each food item was tasty and well prepared.

I opted for the Shrimp Adventure three course dinner, my husband went for the Mongolian Beef. The three types of shrimp were all fantastic, though the coconut shrimp a favorite and even the vegetable mix served with the platter was a nice mix of oriental vegetables. The only disappointment was the french fries were not crisp but? I ended up opting to pass on finishing the fries to eat the wonton sundae that I ordered. My husband had no complaints with his dinner selection, commenting that the brown rice was perfectly cooked and he enjoyed the walnut brownie dessert that was his choice.

Prices were really not bad - even with the Global Sampler costing over $13.00 our total dinner was just a little over $50.00.

Clutter not room size a factor…

There was a time when a search for contemporary coffee tables that would fit in with my rather eclectic style was a focus. While I still like to browse online for what’s new and popular I became coffee table free when we moved into this house. It’s not just because the living room is small, I’ve had smaller ones and still had a coffee table. It was because it became an item drop spot, granted eliminating a coffee table made those determined to leave things just use my dining room table more often, but there is now one less area that I have to look at, then be upset with the cluttermaniacs of the household…

Not to worry about…

With my husband starting his endeavor of losing some weight by the end of April I wanted to inform him that at least he doesn’t need to worry about special creams or certain cellulite cures because as a guy he might just like the rough rugged look. Now I on the other hand don’t like to look rough and tough, I prefer the soft and gentle being instead. Good Luck sweetheart in achieving your goal and looking rough and tough for me.

Home alone…the original

Another classic John Hughes movie that I’m guessing most people have watched at least once, probably more than once. It’s been debated by some if this is one of the most popular movies by Hughes. Home Alone…

Within a day’s drive…

While I’m dreaming of vacation get aways, a place I’d like to visit that is within driving range from our home is the Outer Banks. Another advantage to this destination is I could take my two little dogs with me and not have to worry about are they being let outside, fed, etc. They could also have fun romping on one of the beach areas that dogs can frolic on, neither one of them have seen the ocean, the only waves they’ve ever experienced were waves on the beaches of Lake Erie.
